EARLY YEARS TEACHER
(Pre-Nursery till Grade II)
Job Description
- Planning Learning: Developing and implementing lesson plans and work schemes, using the Early Years Foundation strategies
- Classroom Teaching & Management: Ensure effective teaching strategies of the whole class, & of idividuals. Adapting teaching methods and materials to meet the interests and learning styles of students.
- Monitoring, Assesment, Recording, Reporting: Assess how well learning objectives have been achieved and use this information to improve specific aspects of teaching. Maintain good organisation of notebook checking, corrections, assessments & data management.
- Management & Administration: Participate in administrative, organisational tasks related to the responsibilities described above including professioanal development, meetings, substitutions & meetings with parents. Fostering good relationships with students & parents with effective communication
Qualification Requirement
- Early Childhood Education Degree/Qualifcation.
- Bachelor's or master's degree, preferably in Education or related field.
- Recent teaching experience or other activity in area of primary instruction is a plus Teaching credentials a major plus.
Experience Requirement
- Minimum 2 years of relevant teaching experience in early years.
- Demonstrated knowledge of current instructional strategies & pedagogies.
- Proficient in English with excellent communication skills.
- Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and early years l educational methods.
- Effective use of educational technology in the classroom including but not limited to email, powerpoint & other educational softwares
